Hey everyone. Another simple question today.

I am trying to copy button assignments to a new station for a user, and I'm stumped on one button - Flexible button labeled "MVM1" in Flash 51.

From my research, that is the Voicemail Mailbox 1, and I'm (perhaps in error) understanding that to be tied to Feature Code 460. However, I can't seem to assign it to the new station in Flash 51. Am I missing something?

FYI, Four Digit extensions, a leading "1".

Also, this is for an attendent - the intention is that she can transfer callers directly to a users extension by pressing the Flexible Key, then the DSS for that extension.

MVM1 is a remote mailbox button, meaning that it provides direct access and message waiting for a mailbox other than the one associated with this phone.

To have a button for this, you enter 460 (or 1460) plus the mailbox number that you want to appear on that button.

For basic transfer of callers directly into mailboxes, a standard voice mail button (440 or 1440) will allow the direct transfers that you described.

Thanks - that is very helpful. I must have confused the function of two keys then (the stations have both V1440 and MVM1 keys assigned).

If the user needs the MVM1 key as well, how can I assign that?

Basically, while I was confused about which function was with which key, the MVM1 was the key I could not figure out how to program - I did not have any trouble programming the V1440.

MVM1 is just 1460 plus the mailbox number you want to appear on that button.

1440 is for accessing the mailbox that belongs to the individual phone it is programmed on. For example, if station 1005 has a 1440 button on it, it will call the mailbox for 1005. You can assign a mailbox "mvm1" under another button that belongs to anyones mailbox or any general or virtual mailbox. Just as Ed wrote, in fl. 51, button programming, enter xx(button number) 4 1460 xxxx (mailbox number) hold (to save). Hope this helps.
