hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can explain what it takes to merge carrier on the Vodavi. Let me try and explain our setup.

Right now we have two carrier (at&t and telepacific) that goes into the Vodavi STS-IP system.

The AT&T portion are centrex line and Telepacific I believe are PRI lines.

Company A (AT&T) has about 21 lines and has about 30 users.

Company B (Telepac) has like 15 lines but only has 8-10 users.

I want to get rid of the telepacific and go with AT&T so the billing will be simple and to consolidate phone companies.

what is involve in doing that consolidation? do we have to re-program the vodavi? what do I have to look out for and what do you guys recommend. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I would have AT&T put a PRI in and port all your numbers to it.

so if AT&T port all of Company B, then I wouldn't need to reconfigure anything on the vodavi?

can you tell me what kind of cards I have in the vodavi. This is what I see.

slot 0 = DTIB24
slot 1 = DTIB24
slot 2 = DTIB24
slot 3 = DTIB24
slot 4 = LCOBC
slot 5 = LCOBC
slot 6 = LCOBC
slot 7 = LCOBC

Slots 0-3 are 24 port Digital station cards.

Slots 4-7 are Loop Start Line cards, POTS.

So you are not using a PRI at all currently like you thought!! You could have AT&T port the numbers from telepacific as POTS/Centrex and just reuse everything you have.

If you went to a PRI you would need a different card.

thanks for the information.

when at&t port over the numbers, do I have to re-configure anything on the vodavi? or would it be seemless and wouldn't know anything has changed?

If the numbers are properly ported, it should be seamless. But I would still want to be on site during the change because issues can often arise due to carriers changing something.

Also, while your STS has loop start lines, they could be delivered through an Adtran or similar DSU/CSU, Channel Bank, or ATA.
