It is because of my ignorance with ACD/UCD that I am having this problem, but looking for some advice.

I have CO lines directly going to ACD 550 for day ring with alternate group of 551. ACD 551 is set up the same with 552 as an alternate.

The company wants calls that have been ringing regardless to go to VM after about 30 seconds. They currently are not using RAN so this causes a slight issue since the overflow works off the RAN.

I did try working with it a bit, but can never get it to go to voicemail, even when trying to use RAN, would just bounce around the ACD group.

Did you try to CO preset forward to 450? That would put you in the VM.

You have an overflow timer. But there is also an agent Out Of Service timer that may be involved too.
Is it the optional ACD software or the standard UCD software that you have?

CO preset forward will not work (I tried). When I goes to ACD it it in its own little world and does not follow line programming.

It is the additional ACD software.

The weird thing about all this, is that we were called because a caller said they left a message on their voicemail and they did not know how to retrieve the messages. We found the mailbox and added some buttons so they can get them, but they really are not sure how the caller gets there or when it happens, I tested it several times and never reached the voicemail.

We will be out there later this week, I will look at some of the settings. I will look at the agent out of service timer...but I am wondering if I need to add the Primary RAN information to 551 and 552. In the past, if they were alternate groups, they followed the first group settings, but after thinking about it, and the occasional messages that are left, it may be that if a call gets to an alternate group phone it is not following the settings in 550.
