Does anyone have any long-term experience with the ESI IVX products? I am looking at becoming a reseller of this product. It looks a like really good line of equipment. I don't know anything about their durability and don't want to learn with a lot of nuisance service calls.

Thanks in advance.

Only worked on a couple but they seem to be a nice system. That's about all I can tell you

I lost 2 sales to the ESI IVX128. Of corse I was bidding a Telrad. I am happy to report Both of these systems have had Hard Drive failures and both out of service 2 to 3 days waiting for replacement. Some of that was the Vendors fault for not having stock to replace bad products. This system is just like any PC you are going to have hard drive errors and issues so have replcements. I heard there is a flash version now. Its just not that safe in the Lightning capitol of the world.

I have the C-class in my office (love it)
I have also worked on their product for the last 7-8 yrs. They made a system under the Executone Medley name, very nice the Hard Drives would crash on power failures but not that often, they do have a flash version in the E-class & S-class, I will be in training next month on the E-Class. I think it is dependable and has many features including built in VMS ,AA, CID, ACD, Also VOIP available.

We have the Medley. As stated above, made by ESI, nice little system except that if we have any power failure, inevitably we have to do a re-boot. It is a very feature-rich little system for the money. It is also really simple to program. We finally put in a heavy duty BBU so hopefully the power failure problems with the hard drive won't recur.

Thanks for the input guys! ESI does recommend using a ups and claims 10k lightning protection on the ksu. I have gotten the impression that they are using Flash mods for the programming and voice mail functions. This is just the type of informations I was looking for, thanks.
How about the key sets, no complaints above normal?
Southern Kali-forn-ia doesn't get much lightning and now that Gray Davis was replace by the Govenator we don't seem to get as many power outages.
Thanks again.

Got a couple here in Salt Lake and like you we don't get much lightning, they are behind ups units and so far no problems at all. the sets seem to be working fine also. did have one out-of-box failure be hey that happens to them all.

We have lots of lightning in Chicago, this system seems to hold up very well under these conditions.
Also they have made changes since the Medley which , should improve on the Hard Drives crashing.
At least according to my sales rep.

As Rick stated ESI made the Executone Medley. I have alot of them out there all with UPS on them. ESI also made one that could us Panasonic or ATT phones on it. They stopped making them to pursue there own manufacturing of phones. Very feature rich systems for the money.

Good Luck!

If all else fails, use a BFH.
