I have a customer that has a SmartVoice and it does not allow any callers to leave a message...It says "that mailbox is full". But in reality, it isnt full.
I need to know how to clear the memory. There is only 8 mailboxes on the system and none of them have more than 3 messages in them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

If it is saying the mailbox is full, then it is probably a storage issue on the flash card, which is usually caused by poorly executed software upgrades). Checking the amount of available space on the c and d drive would be a good start.
Of course it could be that the mailbox is full, the original default value was only 25 messages.

Thanks for the reply...
But thats just it, how do check the available space on the c and d drive?
I know how to get logged into screens, etc...Not sure how to check c and d though.
Also, is there some sort of "trace" that stores data? That may be the problem, not sure. But I do I check that to see if it is or not?
Thanks in advance.

the only thing screens will tell you is how many messages are allowed (user directory ; second page, message limit)
don't go into screens but at the d:\ type DIR and then enter. it should look like this:
Volume in drive D is D Volume Serial Number is 0C24-10F2 Directory of D:\
CLIDFIX ZIP 116,549 05-12-06 4:16p HAYES LOZ 996 12-22-06 8:46a MESG <DIR> 10-08-75 9:32p START LOX 3,912,135 01-15-07 12:50p CMOS LOX 383 07-05-08 10:35p CMOS LOG 383 07-06-08 2:35p REMOTE LOG 2,728 01-15-07 2:50p TRACE <DIR> 06-22-04 10:42a HAYES LOX 998 12-27-06 7:13p START LOG 102,582 01-15-07 2:25p HAYES LOG 998 01-15-07 12:52p NEW-DBS <DIR> 05-31-06 1:10p DAYOLDDB <DIR> 05-31-06 1:12p START LOZ 8,112 12-22-06 8:49a RCPTNISE EXE 119,694 07-06-06 10:56a 11 file(s) 4,265,558 bytes 4 dir(s) 222,019,584 bytes free
the very last line being the important number. It should be well over a million bytes available
The trace files are stored in d:\trace anything in this directory (other then the directory itself) can be deleted to make room.
