I'm looking into starting a new venture and would need a small system to be able to handle calls with an automated attendant and based on them inputting there zip code they would receive information back.

I would like this to operate on some kind of Text to Speech software and be able to access a database which I can create.

I know the technology exists..
But is there anything out there which can do this on a budget?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Sure, there are options to do this. It's ultimately going to boil down to your exact requirements and what the budget really is.

So far I see:
1) User Calls in
2) Prompt caller for a zip code
3) Do some sort of DB lookup
4) Play back some sort of result with TTS

Are there other requirements like english/spanish/french/canuckadian? Prompt for other inputs? Dynamic call routing? Any outbound calling or callbacks? What kind of reporting/feedback do you need from the system?

All kinds of things need to be answered to really give a good quote.

Possibly some other prompts..

There could be multiple results so maybe a next and a back..
Repeat current playback maybe.

English only for now.

No real outbound calls needed, but possibly maybe during the results a way to transfer to a specific number.

This is like a 411 system for members of an organization. Each with there own phone numbers all across the US.

Reporting would be nice.
Keep track of the transfers.
Number of inquiries.
But nothing too complex.

Anyone with any Ideas? Systems I should look into?

I'd even be interested in a hosted solution to keep costs down if I can't find something.

This is something that my company can do but I am not sure that we would be within your budget. If you would like send me a PM through the board or give me a call at 863-393-9336.
