Hey Guys:
I recently took over maintence of several Tie EK-2464 systems. I have a Texas Inst Silent 700 for programming and have had a few training sessions from a tech who has worked on these before.
I have a site that has 2 tenant groups and group 1 uses lines 1-9. Group 2 uses 10-18. I want to add line 19 to tenant 2 and button map this line on the 1st DSS key. I have not been able to make a line key work and cannot get to tenant group 2 either.
Any ideas or advise will be appreciated!

This is a BusCom right?? Are the phones the 15000 series sets?
I don't remember using a Silent 700 on this system but I probably just don't recall correctly. I thought I used a programming phone to program.....it's been quite a while.
I think I may have thrown out all of my Tie BusCom books, but I'll look anyway. Maybe one of the other Mods will jump in here who has a better memory than I do.

On the 'other' Blue boxes I usually used Hyperterminal...never tried a Silent 700. Keep us informed.

Silent 700 needs thermal paper. You can use a terminal emulation program in place of the 700. Popular programs are Hyper Terminal & ProComm. Q. Is your 700 one of the earlier ones with the acoustical couplers? It was those couplers in the Carter-phone decision that started this whole competitive industry.

Back when Screaming Eagle was a phone system, not a Harley add on! If this is a rectangular blue cabinet that would be a TCX128 with a EK2464 CPU, it only programs with a terminal and a modem is on the CPU, but default is off. I loved the 700, you got a hard copy of the session and a program dump.
