P-Tec Ceiling Speaker V-1001 by Valcolm Anyone try these yet? Looks like a real time saver, do they compare to the V-1020Cs?

Went ahead and ordered them. They installed as stated and work very well. They are only 1 watt so any high ceiling or higher noise applications I would avoid but setting up 3 down a small hallway worked great.

Sorry I didn't see this post before. They are a breeze to install, no hole to cut, and sound good. I've seen the same sort of setup for 25-70 volt speaker that's even easier. They use the mounting pins to pass the power to the speaker! Stick speaker to the ceiling with self piercing pins, clip the wires to the pins and replace the tile!

I agree with Horseman.
HOWEVER:
It looks like one's I almost installed at OHSU, but it couldn't installed because the product was not UL listed.
