Greetings everyone,
I have a small problem on my hands here with our VMS(4) in an elite 192.
There is a "company directory" transaction box, which is accessed off the main greeting. The "company directory" message box then allows users to be directed out to different extensions with one key selections. In order to access an extension, the caller must go through the "company directory" before they can enter a single digit code to be routed to an extension.
Here's the problem: When a caller hits option 1 from main greeting (which takes him/her to the company directory), and immediately hits the single key for a familiar extension number (without waiting for the "directory box" message to start playing, the VMS system barks at it, and routes the user to the operator's extension, or it goes into the "system box" greeting. (Neither of which is the desired outcome, since this application is for a separate tenant from the "system box" and the operator's extension).
Is there a tip or trick to get around this somewhat annoying problem?
I know that on the VRS()-ETU card, there's a setting for "delay" before accepting a touchtone key from the caller from the time the greeting is played. Is there a similar setting for the VMS()-ETU card?
Thanks for any pointers that you can offer.

in the easy made apps screen (ctrl-a)
page 6
option 58 i think
startup is the line name
might have cng in there by default. if so just add a space then ok2 then hit enter. this is the one touch timeout timer. if there isn't anything on this line just add the ok2.

Chris,
Thanks for the pointer. That did the trick. Initially, it was set at CNG OK1. I resetted it to CNG OK0 and tested the system out. It worked perfectly.
Thanks again for your tip.
