Thank you. I appreciate the help.

Now, Co-Sessions can only be run through a serial port right? No IP access like the SAT right? If so then I have to install it on a remote system and VNC into it. That's gonna be fun.

Anything I should be aware of with CoSessions so I don't mess up the system? Can I just go and look around? Does it disable the VoiceMail when Im in it?

Thanks

-Jan

cosessions uses the serial port to connect.
only way you could get around it is using vnc or maybe some type of ethernet to serial converter type thing.

you have to use a NULL modem cable to the vm.

the vm has a serial port on the front of it (and is probably the only card that does except pri, and acd plus). you can usually leave the cable connected and put the cover on over it without problems.

default password is nec

i'd leave the switch settings alone. as well as the voice prompt page (you change a voice prompt here, (ie you change the press 1 for yes 2 for no) you will forever lose that voice and the only way to get it back to "normal" is to send it to nec and have them default it).

when you're done playing in it just disconnect via cosessions. do NOT keep hitting escape! you can escape too far and quit the vm program and go to a dos prompt. then you could really do some damage!

ctrl-d gets you to the mailboxes
ctrl-t transaction boxes
ctrl-g groups
ctrl-s switch settings
ctrl-a easy made apps

or you can use f5 & f6 to switch between the screens. pgup & pgdn within the different screens will move you around as well. arrow keys will move as well.

recordings are done by calling into the vm and pressing the f4 local connect. the phone will go silent. move to a voice field (greeting, name, etc)
f9 records
f10 plays
(be sure to release the port (f4) when done with recordings)

the $greeting (in transactions) is by default the main box that plays when callers 1st get to the vm.

there are 1 touch buttons for most kinds of boxes (mailboxes, transaction boxes)

Well, for starters, I'd like to log into the system, but we've got a tech coming out on monday to do some other things... I'll just bug him about it.

Thanks for your help though.

This board has been an awesome resource.
