My question really is, how can I change the need to dial 9 on some analog cards? I know some of them need to dial 9 and for others, the pdx does it for them. I want the pbx to insert the 9 for all of my analog lines. As far as the users are concerned, it should act and feel like a regular copper line.

Thanks

Jan

Look under prime line / hot line assignment for each of the telephone ports that you have.

I don't have the manuals here with me right now, but if you assign that for all of your telephones, then each time they go off-hook, the system will dialever code you program in there, (like a trunk group code, or another extension, etc.)

Will check the MB and give you more detail later.

new2nec is right

program 4-23 is the hot line.

let me pull the info from the manual and paste:

1. Prime Line function enables a user to seize a specified trunk when the Multiline Terminal goes off-hook. Refer to function codes 063 and 064 for Memory Blocks 1-1-46 [Access Code (1-Digit) assignment] and 1-1-47 [Access Code (2-Digit) assignment].
2. To call the specified station number or CO line on Hot Line, go off-hook.
3. When using Prime Line an access code (feature and speaker) or ICM key can be used to seize the intercom (ICM) Dialtone for internal call processing.
4. To use Hot Line Assignment, one of the following must be entered:
aStation Number
bAccess Code and Dial Number
cSpeed Dial Access Code and Speed Dial Buffer Number
5. Only 10 digits can be assigned.
6. Telephone ports A0~C0 are ports 100~120.
