First off...I'm new here and I just wanted to say hello to all! (and thanks in advance for any help)

Ok, I've got an IPK running DTH-8D/16D/32D terminals...How the frigg do I get the headsets working on these??

Its gotta be a programming issue...I'm thinking I need to assign a "headset key" to a softkey, but I dont know how to do that. The programming manual is no help to me.

I read a similar post here involving an Elite 48 system. The IPK uses different memory blocks aparently.

I think the Elite 48 and IPK use the exact same memory blocks.

The only difference you may have is between software versions. The later releases have more "memory blocks" for more features that's not available on earlier versions.

Press (feature)(3) to find out what version you have.

Hope this helps a little. I will have to dig out the manual to walk you through the programming step by step. Don't have that with me right now.

Assign the key to each phone in MB 4-12. If you have a manual just follow the info that says what LK assigns headset.

I'm reeeally trying to learn the innards of programming the IPK. The manual seems almost overwhelming though.

I tried using NECs PC-based configuration app, but that royally f'ed up the initial configuration. I ended up having to call in my vendor to reprogram the entire thing...THAT was a bad day.

You need a programming manual. That will show the memory blocks.

I have a programming manual, but nowhere (at least not in common folk terms) does it show memory block configs/positions for headsets.

Its an IPK Programming Manual Revision 1 (Release 1000)

you'll need to know the ports of the phones that need a headset button (go to the phone then hit feature 3)


get into programming from ext 100

hit clear button #4

type in 12 on the keypad

you're in program 4-12!

number on the left is the port you're programming.

conference to advance to the port you need

transfer to the button you need to program

press recall then the 3rd clear button to get hset on that button

transfer to write

conference to go the next port that needs a headset.

press 01 on the keypad to get to button 01

and continue on by hitting the transfer to get to the button you need to program etc.etc.etc.........
