What are the differences between the IPK and the Aspire? Which one do you like better? I was told the IPK uses the 10 year old Active Voice VM platform.

Lots of differences, Although they are both made by NEC Infrontia they really are 2 completely different systems. Both can do PRI,VoIP and Network multiple sites and the feature sets are fairly close, but the software is completely different.
The IPK still follows the E-Pro and Elite series of programming. Most of the programming is done through the phone.
The Aspire has a built-in Ethernet port and can be programmed via a web browser.
The Voice mails are different too.
The IPK uses the Active Voice Dos program, but it also has a CTI version that uses OS2 I believe.
The Aspire uses the CTL Software and it is also DOS based but has a great Windows interface.
I could go on and on but there isn't enough room in here to explain the differences.

DJ</font> Look for the CTI board running Linux soon ... Goal is to replace OS/2 CTI with Linux CTI.
