Can anyone offer advice on connecting an external modem to Elite 192?? We don't want to use the MIFM card with the modem kit because the MIFM card is in the wrong slot and we would have to reconfigure the entire system. We want to use modem for remote maintenance - just can't seem to get modem to connect.

you'd have to setup the modem to auto answr. be on com1 on the nec. modem can't be any kind of "soft modem". don't use a null modem cable. other than that i'll have to see if i can find anything else out in some sort of tech bulletin from nec. what kind of modem do you have?

WE HAVE A US ROBITICS MODEL - V92 5686E
WE ARE ON SITE NOW AND CAN NOT GET MODEM TO CONNECT TO SYSTEM
