Last year I worked in a company that had an NEC NEAX 2000 system. Whenever it needed any programming I either did it in CAT mode from a phone with a display or had our vendor come in and they'd attach a laptop to the switch.

After I left, the owner says they had problems with the phone system for months and that since I didn't leave them the 'access codes' I was responsible for them losing thousands of dollars in sales.

I don't recall any 'access codes' other than the buttons to press to get into CAT mode.

Does anyone know of any information that would clarify that there are no 'access codes' to manage the system (only the kind of management that an IT not trained in the phone system could do, like resetting it for Daylight Savings Time, etc.)?

Thanks.

Only access code you would need is how to get to CAT mode, unless you put a password protect for various levels on it.
