I recently acquired a new customer which has an NEC ElectraElite 48 with a 2 port VMS.
How do i find out what kind of VMS this system currently has?What is it called?
2nd,
I have a mebership to download manuals but i am not sure which manual corresponds with this system(there are many)and there are 16-48 and 48-192.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I want to familiarize myself with the system and the VMS because the customer wants to change the greeting and wants to add 3 phones.

card type........should say on the front edge of the card. you're lookig for a fms, vms, vmp, cms type thing with a number in () which is how many ports it was equipped with from nec.
manual....you're looking for the 48-192 i guess. really should be under voicemail systems but whatever. 1648 is older stuff.
