My Ad-120 voicemail system is acting very slow. I have a Raid 5 platform. My hard drive (C) is 10 gigs. I analyzed it for a possible defrag and it recommended that I do a defrag on it.
My question is, should I take the AD 120 off-line before I do the defrag? Or can this be done while it is on-line?
Please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
Mike Humble

Mike Humble</font> AD-120 can suffer from slowness due to SQL or MSDE software. It's doubtful that a defrag of the hard drive would speed up AD-120. If you do decide to defrag the hard drive then definitely, stop AD-120. Other things that make AD-120 slow is how much is this AD-120 integrated into your Active Directory? Are there other Exchange servers involved? Many factors come into play. Your best bet would be to call NEC and get some assistance. ------------------ NEC Unified Solutions / Voice Mail and Unified Messaging | Active Voice, LLC ![[Linked Image from activevoice.com]](https://www.activevoice.com/images/graphic_controlcommunications.jpg)
