Hello!

I'm trying to make best use of our Electra Elite 192 system as we transition over to a full VoIP system utilizing Asterisk. I've got a quad-t1 card running into the Asterisk system and popping the voice lines to the NEC system.

What I'm wondering is, are there any PDF's out there on the internet that outline how to program the Electra Elite 192? I want to change things as simple as setting the time on the station display correctly (it's off by 7 minutes at the moment) to something more complex, like changing the t1 from E&M Wink to PRI)

I don't have any documentation on this; I was told that when we asked for programming manuals the company that installed it would charge us something like $600 for all of the manuals and the programming card. I couldn't just get some quick documentation on what could or couldn't be done on the system.

PS -- Asterisk is an amazing piece of software. If anyone has been considering trying it out, I'd strongly suggest it. We've been running it in production for about 3 weeks now and it's surpassed our expectations already.

time change on ports 1 or 2 (usually stations 100 & 101): feature 9#, change time, feature

changing from a t1 e&m to pri will require more than software programming! it requires a card change. the dti card will need to change out to a prt card.

fill out your profile i think i have a cheat sheet i can email you somewhere.

I have gotten it to work great. My problem now is that the upstream (XO) has what appears to be a malfunctioning nortel DMS-500 on the other end.

It's really curious, because, XO never sends the message that the T1 went offhook when we originate a call, so, when people on SIP phones attempt to dial out, there's no audio because the SIP phone stays in Session Progress mode rather than Connected.

But, if you're having problems getting the 192 hooked up, shoot another post to me and I'll e-mail you seperately if you need some pointers!
