Hello.
I was wondering if Nitsuko was backward compatiable with Tie phones?
Thanks.

Well that's an interesting topic considering Nitsuko made TIE's phones. What models?

The only Tie phones that were interchangable were the Mod Key phones that would work on the Tie 612,Mod Key 16, Northcom 1A3 and I think they even worked on one series of Executone/Vodavi system.

As far as we're on the topic of crossbreeding, I think I found that the CO cards for the i-series would've worked on an NEC switch "Elite" PPerhaps?.
Which is funny since about 4 years later NEC bought Nitsuko.

Nitsuko OEM'd the E-pro series for NEC and The I series system and the Elite series were made by NEC Infrontia which is now the only manufacturing division for the Key systems and terminals.
The large systems, the 2000 and the 2400 and yes I think NEC still makes the NEAX 61 a Central Office switch, are designed and built mostly in Japan with some of the 2400 software written in Dallas.
