I need to quote a paging hardware setup for a small warehouse (60' x 120') and was interested in whether anyone had any hardware preferences? Anything I should avoid? I'm planning on keeping it simple. Single zone. Page All. I gather that I should avoid using a paging system that requires DTMF signals and use one that has a paging amp. Is Bogen the way to go?

Bogen is an excellent choice. However, there is no need to avoid a system that requires DTMF if you need to page zones. If you need to page zones, you will just have to use one of the C.O. ports instead of the paging port.

You don't need the Viking pa2a! You can do ring over page and background music through the system. All you need is some 24v speaker(s) and 24v power supply(s) and you’re in business.

Self powered speakers are only good for very small jobs.

a PA2a can be used as an inexpensive paging system It does not necessarily have to be used for loud ringing even thoug that is what it't intended purpose is.
