Am I correct that if I use the schedule then it doesn't matter if I toggle the system manually into night mode it still goes by the schedule. What do I do on a holiday that falls on a weekday and they want to play the "we're closed" message? How would I get the system to switch into night mode if manually pressing the button won't do anything for me?

When the night mode button is pressed the system sends all trunk calls directly to auto attendant, it has nothing to do with what greeting the caller will hear. If you have Intra mail than you have the schedule over ride option. Over ride is used for holidays or any other schedule change. When schedule over ride is turned on the system will ask for the over ride mail box number, options are 000-009. Once the over ride is activated it will play this message untill it is manualy turned off, than the system goes back to the normal schedule. You can call in from outside the building and activated the schedule over ride if you have system admin options assign to your mail box.

Dans is correct that the night button only makes the AA answer immediate. But on the ASO any mailbox can be used 000-015 or master boxes 700-707 ,600-607 and subscriber boxes 300-427!
