A call transferred to an extension that
has set busy/no answer forwarding to a Voice
Mail port - if the extension doesn't answer
the switch recalls to voice mail and sends
the mailbox(extension) number correctly.

But if the extension is busy...no digits
are sent to the voice mail system, so the
caller hears the main greeting only.

I have checked every setting I know of
in the manual. CM08 #333 mentions
sending digits when the extension is
unanswered, but not if it's busy or
if call forwarding-all calls has been
set...

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Phil

Thanks for your reply -

[If this aa neaxmail ad16 or ad 40]

*** it isn't. It's an Active Voice Replay
(computer-based: 4 ports)
I have put in our settings below, but
we discovered something else (see below)

program your vm exts this way
put all ext's in ucd gp 01

VM exts are all in circular hunt (CM18)

program pilot to cm 10 0500
1322 all phones 0 ***they are
1310 all phones 1 *** thay are 0
1324 vm pilot 1 other exts to 0 *** all '1'
1303 all phones 1 *** all '1'
5115 01 put in vm pilot *** yes
5118 01 put in vm piot *** I will check

in 9000 make sure prime key is 16 delete all lks except 16,21 and 23
*** ??? We didn't use a Dterm in this
setup

08 063 to 0 *** ??? will check.
08 333 to 1 *** no - ours is set to '0'

In vm system make sure release o rings and in easy made switch setup on line 2 dt8=0

***? might not apply to the Replay

*What we discovered: all our extensions
are CF/BNA to the Vm pilot. When we
changed the CF/BNA destination to another
VM stn (i.e. the 2nd port on the card)
the feature worked...so we swapped the
card with another good card. And the
feature still didn't work (same port).

? Some hosed-up memory location in the
switch? We did a system reset last night
and that didn't clear it out. What next?

Guess we could move the "bad" VMS stn
to another LEN...Anyway this is where we are now..

Thanks for your reply!

Firstly you should really be using a UCD group rather than a circular hunt group then I would verify what is actually being sent by putting a Buttinsky across the problem port and listening to see what is being sent.

Thank you...we want to use a UCD group.
Does it get set up the same for our
third-party voice mail as for the NEAX mail
quoted in the previous message?

By the way, we found a (temporary?)
solution to the sending digits on busy
problem: it would only fail to send digits
when the VM station port
was transferring to a phone that
had call fwding/BNA set to that transferring
port! (i.e. the call came in as a DIT to x100. x100 then transferred it to (e.g.)
x250 which had CF/BNA to x100. Somehow
the switch couldn't handle this
on a busy condition - too quick? x100 had
just gone on-hook (blind transfer) and it
was being re-rung..

so we simply DIT'd all out incoming lines
to another VM station in the hunt group -
(e.g.) x102. This worked...but we still
like the UCD idea better.

Thanks for your help!
