Hi, I work for a small business, with less than 5 people in the office at any given time. We work with pressing deadlines weekly and often answering the phone is a problem. Is there any way to set it up to answer automatically and direct callers to enter extentions? I have a product manual but do not understand the jargon.
Please help!!

It's called an Automated Attendant usually front ended by a voicemail system . However the Elite has a cheaper option of using a VRS card that allows basic front end answer and transfer. I suggest you contact your local NEC dealer who could help you with this solution.

I'm not a big fan of the VRS. Like paul said contact your vendor and check into the voicemail options they have. Nec makes some smaller versions of voicemail (cms and FMS) that aren't to bad price wise.
