I have an NEC Elite 192. I'm wondering if there is a way to forward an extension without actually being at the phone. For example, if I'm at home can I call in and set my extension to forward to another extension. Or if it is already being forwarded can I change what number it is being forwarded to? Or if that is not possible is there anyway to have the messages that are left for my extension automatically be sent to another extension so that someone else will be able to access them. I tried forwarding my messages to my "spare" phone but when i leave a message it never shows up in the "spare" phones voicemail. I searched the forums and I couldn't find an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Yes, my parents call me Dick

remote call fording isn't available.
message forwarding automatically can't be done either (can on a samsung tho). i've asked nec to do this (they call it the americanna feature if i remember right).
the "spare" phone....it has to be set to show message waiting notification in the mailbox associated with it.
is there a mailbox for that spare phone? on that phone dial the vm. does it ask for a password? can you send a message from that mailbox to another phone?
what happens when you forward a message to the spare phone?
