I have an Intramail 4 port VM problem on the DS2000.

The ports get hung up, and then incoming calls just ring without ever getting answered by the auto attendent.

Powering the system down and back up clears the problem, and calls get answered and routed fine after that.

When the problem occurs, you can dial (via ICM) 500, 501, 502, or 503 and the ones hung up continually say they are busy rather than "Enter your mail box number" which is what they should say when idle.

When they all are "busy" and don't release, the system quits auto answering the calls..obviously due to the fact that the paths are not available.

Thsi is happening daily, but I can't seem to figure out any pattern. It appears to be random.

They don't all go out at once...seems that it just starts occuring, then within minutes they all lock up.

Any help would be appreciated.

What Version software do you have? It's recommended by NEC that when this problem occurs with 3.21 or less software, you sould upgrade to 3.22

I'll probably need to secure the upgrade, as the system has been around awhile.

SUCCESS...

I didn't have to update the software.

I kept poking around, and found that the DIL no answer time and the trunk revert time in the 0401 table were set identical.

I changed them to be ten seconds apart, and solved the problem.

if you have the capability do yourself a favor and upgrade the software to 3.22 anyway. and make sure the intramail is current as well. 3.21 was quite a headache for a lot of different reasons.
