Hi,
In Aspire is it possible to set up one physical extension/phone but multiple people can log into it in different time? We have 2 part timers but only 1 is in at a given time. They share one desk/computer and phone(digital phone, not IP). We would like to give them their own extension (kinda virtual) but when they come to the office they can log in to the phone and all their personal settings come up and can check their own voice mail.
Thanks.

Possibly. Here is another alternative. Make a virtual number and assign it a call coverage key this person can use. It will flash and can ring differently so they can pick up their calls. You can also assign another key so they can see their MWI and get their vmails.

If it's a digital phone, no way.
If it's an analog phone, you can daisy-chain them until the REN keeps the bell from ringing.
On the 2000 IPS, if it's an IP phone, whoever logs in most recently logs the other phone out. So it would work.

I agree with coral tech,u can assign a virtual extension even if it`s a digital phone,on 2 different keys, also seprate keys for VM. for making outgoing calls,u can give them walking class of service passwords & map it to their virtual ext.. no.. so that calls idenificaion can be easy.
