I have a nec 48 system and the mwi light on one phone has stopped working. I have looked through the manuals a thousand times and researched on the internet and can not seem to find out how to fix this. It is weird how it stopped working. It had been working for over a year. help!!
Thanks!

Do you mean in the software for setting up the voicemail box? The voicemail box for this person is marked for the lamp, just like everyone else, but the light for this particular box is not working now but all others are working.

Try to manually turn on a message light. If that works then you do have a mailbox issue. If it doesn't work then the voice mail can't make it light if the system doesn't.

you have to have a free analog port.

1>change that port to a vm port
2>assign codes in 1-1-46/7/8 to turn lamps on/off
3>get on the analog port with a buttset or analog phone
4>dial the off code then the ext
5>light should be off.
6>reset the analog port back to a station
7>easy
