Is an NEC 2000 IPS able to set the outbound caller ID info at the system or phone level?

I've looked through the command manual but nothing jumped out at me.

TIA,
Jeff

When using a PRI you can use CM1212 & 1213 to manipulate outbound CID.

I left out CM5005 on purpose. I like to make sure this is a tech I'm helping & not somebody just looking to manipulate CID. A good tech would find the reference to CM5005 while looking at CM1213. Just my way of also making them think a little.

Thank you DrPbx and R4+Z, I actually tried those commands yesterday without any results, could you verify that I'm using the correct info:

CM1212 = Extention # (In my test case, extention = 136)

CM1213 = Which Local Office Code Table to use, I am using 14 so I don't make changes system wide at the moment.

CM5050 - Yes, this was covered under the related commands in the manual wink Here I would put our 10 digit telephone # that we want displayed?

And just as FYI...I'm definetly not looking to manipulate CID, right now no number is being displayed (Why didn't Bellsouth program this when it was installed years ago I don't know) and just want to put our main # there...its been long enough of us going without it and I'm getting tiredof the anonymous call rejections that we get in certain cases.

You don't put the 10 digit number in in 5005. Here in OZ we omit the 0 from the beginning and the last digits corresponding to 1212 so in the case above that would be the last 3 digits.

From what you say though it sounds as if the feature is turned off in the carrier network as the norm is that if you send out an incorrect or incomplete CID the network substitutes your LDN.

Correct, The telco would default to your BTN on your phome bill. Check with your telco. And also I have seen where the telco would sent out just 4 digits if your system was not programmed correctly.

Thanks for the info...Looks like I'll be making a call to Bellsouth to see if we can have it enabled.

I have to do some research on our T1's thought o see what goes where so I don't change something from our predicitve dialer since this has the ability to transmit a specified #...don't want this to show up as our main # that I want to program on just the PBX side.
