Simple question, one would think - attempting to determine what voice mail (box) is assigned to each Station Number (or Port or DISA ID Code).
Found several memory blocks related, but unable to hit the right one as yet.
Thanks in advance!

Typically the voice mail box number is the same as the ext number or car key number. Using cossessions to get into the voice mail will tell you what each subscriber box is assigned as. You won't be able to access the actual VM through the system programming. The port number of each ext or car key is in MB 4-10. More easily viewed when using SAT programming software for the elite systems. Keep in mind that car keys (call arrival keys can be used instead of actual physical telephone extensions.) MB 1-2-04 will tell you if any CAR keys are assigned and to what ports (4 at a time)

Dont know anything about CoSessions. Tried to get SAT software working, no solution as yet. (DSR is off) Re-posting that msg as a separate thread now. Is there no way to determine voice mail box from system programming at all? Dont want to access the mail itself just determine information on station<->voicemail linkage. Where do I start with CoSessions?

There is no way to determine VM box from system programming. VM boxes are created in cosessions. Whatever number is assigned matches an existing ext number or car number or (more complicated) a box number that is used solely for the VM to route calls (like press 1 for...press 2 for...) The voice mail is a separte piece of gear from the telephone system. You can assign a slot for the VM card, and things like quick transfer to voice number and the voice mail port ext numbers, but not program the actual voice mail

yes - box number... thats what I want, and I guess youre saying that isnt in system programming but car number and ext number are? The VMS card is installed and operational. How do I set up a cosession?

Cosessions is a program that must be installed on the computer that you are going to use. This program allows you to program the VMS card. Do you have this program? You will also need a null modem cable to go from the serial port of your computer to the db9 connector on the VM card.

I do not have that program. I have a null modem cable.

You can check suscriber mailboxes through the system manager mailbox. You do not need cosessions to do this. You can verify, add, delete & delete security codes as the system manager.

I have successfully logged in using CoSessions...hurrah! Thanks Mark! The installer did put a non-default ID and password, but after calling them and talking to a few people, I was able to get the required information.
