Perhaps my understanding of this feature is incorrect... so I will start from 'what is required'.
Simple; when an outside number (DID) is called, ring in to an automated response message - preferably with the internally accessible 'directory' involved somehow.
I can use the available options in both SAT and CoSessions... to get the end result, eventually. Figured asking might lead to a less error-prone and more direct result.

I assume this is an Elitemail? What is your question exactly? I don't understand? It sounds like you want to set up a "directory? What kind?

did to car key forwwrded all to vm. have a mailbox or a tbox built for the car key.

chris... that sounds like it might work. dont know what a tbox is, but if i associate a mailbox with the car<=>did then i still need a live line somewhere dont i? trying to avoid having to have a dead phone sitting on some desk somewhere...

tbox, ive learned is transaction box. thx, chris. and this is setup car key fwd all to vm now. next challenge is a different tbox setup the same way, but going to a public interview. trying the $GoToID but not working. Will keep digging the boards for an answer; possibly do a new post if results are slim. Thanks!

You're on the right track.
Say that the Car key is 500. Then the Tbox should also be 500. For Transfer, set "Yes -->xxx" where xxx is the interview box ID.
Once you get used to it, you will enjoy Elitemail.

instead of building a tbox build an interview box with whoever you want the recording to go to as the owner.
