Hello, any help would be much appreciated. I have a NEC electra phone system, the older model with the programming function of Feature, hold, #0* to access the system. I was wondering if anyone knew of the option in the programming menu for call forwarding. I am trying to get the first line to forward to another number outside of our three lines and I am completely stuck, cant find which area I have to go to. Thanks, appreciate any help anyone can provide...

the feature hold #0* ranges from the level 1 to the level 2 (including the 120), to the elite 48, elite 64, elite 192, elite ipk
got to be a little more specific on the system part.
what does the cabinet look like? white? black? purple?
metal? plastic?
size of the cabinet?

The old 8/24 used that also.
You may be better of checking with your Local dial tone provider and have your lines changed to centrex to provide a line to line transfer.
If it is the older series Electra series they were not set up for trunk to trunk transfer.
Also using the phone system you will start tying up lines as this will take 2 trunks for every call and there is the issue of low volume when going through the phone system.
Using the telco's centrex transfer frees your lines and there will not be any volume problems.

Thank you both for your responses. It is an old NEC phone system, think we got this thing back in 1995-1996. The casing for the system is metal, and its white. The manual that came with the phone system says there is a way to program these phones for call forwarding, but of course like everything else out there, doesnt say how. I have already checked with the phone company, STS telecom and they dont offer any service like that. The phone company has call forward through them by dialing out *72 and then entering in the # where you want the calls forwarded. Doing this that way though for some reason is messing with our roll over we have with our three phone lines occasionally. I just need to have my main line # 1 forward out to a different phone number when the call comes in. Ay other suggestions based with this information?

When you call forward your main line using the *72 to your cell phone than the other lines in the hunt will also go to the cell phone.
Your NEC might be the PRO II, try this Automatic trunk to trunk transfer FNC, dial63, dial XX, dial#, dial YY, than FNC XX=trunk 01-64; 00=all trunks YY=transfer telephone number
To cancel FNC dial 62, dial XX FNC XX= trunk 01-64; 00=all trunks
We get old too soon, smart too late
