The KX is a Panasonic designation
the number 308 is the configuration, example 308 = 3 line 8 stations & 1232 = 12 line 32 station.
the A means analog and the D means digital
and the ones with no letter designation like the KXT 308 are earlier models before they needed to differentiate between analog and digital, but they are analog.
