Man, I've been through this before! Just a few weeks ago I dealt with this issue and there are a few things to keep in mind! Matter of fact I posted the same question in the telco forum. se this https://www.sundance-communications.com/forum/ultimatebb.php?/ubb/get_topic/f/17/t/000101.html . Yes upgrade to 3.22.07 because it fixes the sidetone problem on t-1 card. Also when you use store and forward this only works for loop keys not line keys! So if you want line appearences, you can just no dial tone when you go off hook. Also store and forward delays outbound calls by 6 seconds. You can dial the number and press # at the end and bypass the delay. Or you can also shorten that with the inter-digit timer which is 6sec by default. hope that helps out a little . NEC tech support told me that this was I carrier issue and as far as they knew the CO should be able to apply dial tone to the channels regardless whether it was set for DID wink or immediate! NOt sure if I was informed correctly. I do wish you could use store and forward with line keys on the ds 2000 and dsx ! well whatever!

Thanks for the link! I guess you have "been there done that". I am going to download 03.22.07 tonight and install it tomorrow. When I am on site I think I'll mess around with the system for a while and try some things. Thanks for all of the help - everyone. Please keep any tips and tricks you can think of coming. I am going to do the cut next Wednesday

By the way, The provider is CTC Communications. They are giving me a 20 Block Wink start. Master them Slave us. Their product is called PowerPath. I have the programming set up correctly (I Think) because I can place and receive calls even though there is no dial tone. Also, according to NEC's Tech Support the proper lights are indicating that all is well.

It looks like using the dial 9 group will work for the analog devices that look for dial tone. The intercom dial tone seems to fool the devices that look for dialtone. I am going to do some more testing next week. I haven't had time to look up what 03.22.07 does but I loaded it into the system. Thanks everyone!
