Getting ready to activate day/night auto attendant and would like the option of having a caller press a button (dial action entry) to ring 3 phones including 301 to try to get a live body. If no answer I want caller to go to mailbox 301. Also would like "goto" key for mailbox 301. Any suggestions?
Thanks Mike

Program ring group 1, this should be ring group master number 600. Go to program 1802 and assign the 3 extension to ring group 1.
Go to dial action table 1 if thats the one your using and assign number you want the caller to press, make it unscreen transfer to 600.
I don't believe you can forward no answer from the ring group to 301 mailbox. You can forward it back to mailbox 600 and assign message key for that mailbox on any extension.
Go to key is mailbox log in, is this what you want?

301 is assigned as operator, so it can't be in ring group. I want callers to be able to press key and go direct to mailbox 301 after hours.

REC1 in the dial action table is what you need for the caller to go directly into the mailbox you assign.

The only other option I see if you want the call to ring 3 extensions then overflow to mailbox 301 and not a General Mailbox is to set your dial action press option to UTRF 301, and put a Call Cover Immediate 301 key on the other 2 extensions.

How about if I change 301 to not be an operator, make a ring group with the 3 covering extensions, but what mailbox would get the call if the 4 extensions were busy or didn't answer?
What is the significance of an extension being an operator beside the dial "0" feature?
Thanks Mike

If non of the extensions in the ring group answer or all are busy, you will go to mail box 600 (assuming you use ring group 1).

What would be ideal is to "press 1" for key ring group to ring the 3 extensions. That is the way it is programmed now without AA and unanswered calls go to mailbox 301.

Reply from keighlar was a good idea. Assign call coverage immediate ring for extension 301 to the buttons of the other phones. Calls not answered should go to extension 301 mailbox per transfer recall timer, default I believe is 15 seconds

miko,
It sounds like you really need to go with either a Gen Mbox or call coverage keys. Both are good solutions and easy to program and use. If you want 301 to be the only one to have access to those Gen Mbox messages, then only assign 301 the Gen Mbox key.
