Here's the problem, I have a esib8 in slot 1 (ports 1-8), esib8 in slot 2(ports 9-16), and a slib4 in slot 3 (ports 17-20). I want to add a esie8 to slot 2 which will make it a 16 port card.No matter how I program it, it always ends up "losing" ports 9-16. So the finished product lokks like this, slot1 p1-8, slot2 p21-36, slot3 p17-20. I tried through the phone and through web pro/ pc pro. Anyone ran into this yet?

Why are you not adding the ESIE to the ESIB in slot 1?

Because of the same problem. I didn't want to lose my first 8 ports. If there's a way to do it on slot one I'm game.

Only way I have been able to do that is.
Backup the system
Default the system
Add the cards one at a time.
Reload system backup...
You will have to clean up the programming but you will have all your ports in line.

Thanks, I'll try it. Just one thing, wont the backup overide the ESIE I just programmed?

The IPK II will not "split" ports when you change a station card from 8 to 16, or a trunk card from 4 to 8 like in the IPK I.
