- How hard is it to install a color ID card for a Electra Elite 48 with 4 phone lines?

- Could it be programmed from a dispaly phone? Or is another software needed?

you can install the card from the phone, but if you want to scroll you will need an mifm card with a kmm chip. you have to go into mb 7-01 and install the card in the slot. mb 4-12 is where you program the buttons for the extensions. mb 4-01,02 is where you program ringing.

Haven't purchased it yet. Can you make a recommendation for 4 CO lines?

If I need the scrolling feature also, I would need to purchase 2 cards correct?
A mifm card with a kmm chip and a coid-4 or 8?

Memory blocks 1-1-78 to assign up to 15 ports to recieve CID, 1-8-08 page 4 line key 3 on & page 5 line key 7 on.

The station must be assigned to ring in mem-block 4-01/02 to display CID. All transferred calls will see CID.

The system will not store any CID without a MIF-M & a KMM chip for it, but will only store 10 calls for that station...not a good feature level...

Regarding the Elitemail, you will have to log on with cosession software to add CID to the switch integration line on the switch set-up page.

Make sure you get a COIB & not a COID! The Elite 48 had a design flaw where if there were "transient" voltages present on the CO lines, it would go out the system ground & take the CID data with it! The COIB was NEC's solution as long as the voltages were'nt too high!

How would I tell if I have the MIF-M & a KMM chip? Also is there a part # for these? I have found the COIB4 on ebay already.
