Hi everyone,
Working on a NEAX 2400 ICS IMGX, Conference calls local to Local, Local to Long Distance (LD) work fine but if you call LD first you can't conference LD or Local, you can however conference in house, any Ideas? I've been checking programming, havn't found anything yet,
If you have a clue, Please let me know,
Thanks,
MOAZ

This should be a trunk to trunk issue.
check your settings according to manual, do not forget the ARRC command.

I checked Trunk to Trunk again, The fact is conferencing is working, so trunk to trunk is working, there is no trunk to trunk restriction, Yet I cant conference LD to LD or LD to Int. or Int. to Int., I get a fast busy and a RST in the display, Still searching, if anyone has an idea, let me know,
Thanks

If the trunks are set for answer supervision you may have to wait until the distant party answers before conferencing. If no answer supervision is provided you may have to wait for the trunk timer to expire ( wait until the call timer clock displays on the phones LCD).

It is three party conferencing,
I have 8 TCT trunks assigned in my office data Command ATRK Rt:909
You execute 3 party conferencing by making the first call then pressing transfer making the second call then pressing the Conf button, your connected, this works on local and area code local calls, Local to LD and Local to Int. calls, but not LD to LD, or LD to Int., Int. to Int., or Int. to LD, you can do LD, or Int. to Sta. calls and Sta. to Sta.,
When you make the second call LD to LD or Int. to Int., as soon as it the call begins to connect and you should get ringing it goes fast busy with RST in the display.

Any help is appreciated,
Thank You

Still could be the same thing, if the trunks you are using to dial out on are set in programming to recieve answer supervision, then when the trunk recieves the info when the distant party answers then you can either transfer the call or set up a conference. (T1-Tie trunks, PRI trunks are usually configured for Answer Supervision).

If its a plain old POT's trunk (usually a loop start trunk) then no answer supervision is recieved and a timer in system programming will expire and then you can transfer the call or begin a conference.

In many system like Nortel Meridians pressing the # key at the end of dialing will stop the timers. On the older 2400 Software you had to either get anser supervision on the trunk or wait untill a timer expired.

Check the LCR programming for international dialing and see where the routing goes.

The routing may send it out to a different carrier or the carrier may have changed something on thier end lately.

Oh I see, On the first call you have to wait before pressing transfer and making the second call, They are T1 trunks, I'll test it and let you know,

Thanks Tip&Ring
