I've been working on an ISDN connection wid DID for a while now.. I'm kinda having problems on some kind of release.. I'm working on an IPK and what happens is after i finish a call on one number.. when i try to call the same number.. it goes busy although no one's using it.. it takes a while before someone could call on the line again.. but when i access the line for outgoing it seems fine.. I have been working on some timers and it's taking me quite a while.. does anybody know how to go through this problem? Thanks a bunch..

This is kind of strange issue on PRI unless you programmed DIT for DID. My suggestion to program CAP key as an incoming otherwise you are going to have busy if your phone is busy on the first call.

PRI on the key systems will work with out CAP keys. The draw back is that you will have more trunks than you have buttons, so there is no way to access PRI channels other than what you have programmed.

yep smoom's right since im still testing and studying how PRI works that's why im not working with CAP keys yet.. I'll be implementing CAP keys on thursday.. thanks the timings ok now.. just had to default the system and upload the back up data(normally the solution to some IPK problems) and it's working fine now.. have a question thoough.. if i applied DID's.. could i route the call to the voicemail if the extension is busy?

I still don't understand how can you asign button to chanal on PRI? There is no chanals. There is group only. Yes all your buttons would be ocupied but would be no access. Incoming calls would be rolling over all the times on different buttons and would be no way to identify line number beyond 16 or you have to give everybody 32 button phone and take away almost all of them.

Icm 43? you mean acces code for call forward right? yes you can assign buttons to each channel.. once PRT is assigned it takes up a from 1 to 30 trunks from the total of 64.. just assign which trunk it is assigned too then voila.. yep majority of their phones are 32 buttons that's why its quite a hassle programming them but i'm likely gonna persuade them to stick to a single button for all PRI trunks..

Yes, call Forward. I understand that all buttons will be used but you cann't access any of them cause it just line aperanses. that is why you have to assign CAP buttons and Outgoing acces setup for 9.
