Hello, I'm working on a ds1000 with intramail.Day termination is key ring with overflow to analog ext 317(all trunks).Trunks ring 4 times then go to vm 317 because 317 is in DND.Works fine!I'm trying to change the overflow time from 12sec(4 rings) to 24sec(8 rings)give or take a ring.I have tried several different timers with no change,Its always "4" rings.Something so easy is kicking my butt..Software is 3.21,I did try cycling the power after changes.HELP PLEASE!!

There is a timer called "trunk revert timer" that it may be. Give it a try.

Jayman - If I understand your situation correctly, you need to set "Extended Ring" for the station. You will have to put that station in a separate class of service and then turn on extended ringing for that COS (program 0101). Then set the extended ring timer (program 0403-station timers).
Default for extended ring is 20 seconds - sounds like you will need to go for about 40 seconds.

Trunk Revert determines how long "Hold Recall" rings a station that placed a call on hold before reverting to "Key Ring" -i.e., A users places a call on hold, after the "Hold Recall" interval, the station will ring to remind the user to pick up the call they placed on hold. If the user does not respond during the "Hold Recall" interval, then the system reverts to "Key Ring" and other stations that have ringing assigned for that trunk will start ringing.

Jayman,
Can you give a better scenario on what the caller hears when the call is overflowed to 317?

How did you set DND on the analog station? I always thought this was not a feature available on the DS systems.

I am always open to correction, but I feel that extended ring is the solution since 317 is going to VM after 4 rings.

I also have the same question as dans - how did 317 get into DND mode?

Billy Bob has got it. Extended Ring will do it for you.

I myself think overflow is the way to go.

Jayman 20 seconds would be 4 rings not 12 seconds.

Have you gone into PGM 0401 system timers?
