Greetings:
I know its Friday and getting to the end of the day but can anyone assist with a ISDN PRI integration to NEC IPKII 1.5.
At this moment I've been prepping the programming but I'm stuck at the correct pin out for a female DB9 to RJ45 adapter. Once done, I'll plug a patch cord from said adapter to telco's NID. I do have a Digital Link CSU (DL551X) but I would prefer not to use it if possible and the dip switches on the DTI-U40 are set to operate independently of CSU.
Cards: CPU 1.5 with PKUII-U (1) ESIB (8) with ESIE (8) (2) COIB (8) (3) COIB (4) (4) ESIB (8) (5) SLIB (4) (8) DTI-U40

I dunna believe my own idiocy. I completely forgot the serial port on the T1 card is for maintenance and not for the circuit. I need to cross connect the circuit to the MDF depending on the slot which the T1 card is in.
Gah.
Thanks for the assist vad60 but I shot myself in the foot.

OK... Now that the ISDN is cross connected properly, I seem to be unable to make calls out and I cannot answer incoming calls on all circuits of the ISDN trunk. Sorry if this is one of those RTFM questions but my brain has died some time ago...
INCOMING CALLS: All phones ring for all incoming calls. The answer button flashes with ringing but I cannot pickup the call or cannot press answer to get the call. I'll look deeper in ext/trunk programming...
OUTGOING CALLS: All circuits of the ISDN (except b-channel) are in group 1 and I have reversed the priority order so circuit 35 has priority 1 and circuit 13 has priority 23. After pressing 9, attempts to dial outside numbers fail after the second or third digit dialed...

Is the PKUII-U chip upgrade necessary for running a PRI on an IPK II?

You have to assign CAP keys otherwise calls cannot be answered.

64 ports on IPK II.
Check these things:
Make sure you are using a DTI-U40.
Make sure that the dip switch 1 on the second bank of switches on the DTI-U40 is set for T1 (DOWN)or PRI(UP).
Make sure your DTI card is at least version 5.01.
Prog 10-03 the settings for D4 or ESF and AMI or B8ZS.
Prog 14-05 make sure trunks are in an outbound route.
Prog 15-07, setup CAP keys or trunk appearances on the phone sets.
Prog 22-02, setup for DID.
Prog 34-01, Wink start.
Prog 22-09, # of inbound digits received
Prog 22-10 and 22-11, routing of DID/DNIS inbound.
I would highly recommend upgrading to 1.60. 1.5 series had issues with voicemail xfer to busy stn not going to user mailbox and PRI dropping calls.
