Our FMS / 4 has stopped working. It had been cutting once a week and 1-3 reboots would get it working again. Now it is down.

I noticed that all 4 port lights are lit on the card as well.

I test the CF card and I can read in on my pc.

I tried to connect using cosessions and it connects but wont let me logon.

Any ideas?

what happens when you try to log on?

Do you get the banner screen? Do you get "Awaiting a key?" Can you press F2, but the logon never appears?
Or all usernames/ passwords are wrong?

When I get into cossessions and I dial it brings up the window, then another window pops up saying it is unable to logon and it is re-trying.

so I am unable to get to the menu or hit F2.

In the past we did not enter the username or passwords in Cosessions, we did when the logon menu from the voicemail was visible... I dont excactly remember the process as it has been a month....

Usually this happens when the baud rate is wrong. Try setting cosessions to 19200, then 57600, then 38400. See if you can connect at any of those speeds.

You may also want to make certain that the terminal is trying to log on as "support" and "voice."

I had the same problems twice and twice it was bad Hard Drive.

I use a Virtual PC image and we have not changed the settings for Cosessions, we just boot the VPC image and hit connect on cosessions. I am 99.9% certain that there was no change on the baud rate, however I will check those speeds.

This unit has a flash memory card, which I tested and is good, well at least I can read it on a pc.

On the front of the card there is a bank of four small dip switches. Try flipping dip switch four and staring up the voicemail.

This will bring up the maintenance mode. If the problem with the start up is because of a corrupt database you can at least get into the HDD repair/defrag menu.

If the voicemail will still not boot then your HDD is fried.

If DIP sw 4 does not work, the later FMS mails used sw 2& 4 to access maint mode..

Well since then an elite tech came out and told them that the software on the flash card was bad but that the card itself was good. I took the flash card to a pc and looked at it and I can read it fine, it just wont boot on the voice mail card. Is there any way I can get this back up?

Is there a way I can re-copy the software to flash card, if so where can I get it?
