Hi,

I'm so not a tech expert and I need some help with the phone as the manual seriously sucks!

I have the 16 button version and I can't for the life of me get the night switch to work.
I'd like to program one of the keys to be simply pushed to turn night switch on and off...

Reception is 100

TA!

Sounds to me you never had a night mode button on any phone. If this is the case you need to call in a certified tech, the reason being there is multiple system programming steps that have to be done in order for the night mode switching to work. There is a member on this board his name is paulw and I think he is from Australia and he good with the NEC product.

Assuming that the station 100 is asigned to ports 1 or 2 and that they are in Att class 0. Nite switch can be tested manually by pressing the following with the fone on hook..

Press Feature + 80 + Feature. If this does not work and the above criteria have been met you may have to get a service tech to enable manual nite servive in the operator CLS.. If this works you can program from that fone a manual nite button buy doing .

Fone on hook. Feature + redial + press button to program + #80 + ANS + Feature + Feature. This will give you a nite toggle button.

I thought you were from Australia, sorry
If her system has never been set up for nite service they would need more than class of service programmed

No problem. It's ony a 3 hour flight away.
