Is anyone else have problems where customer's who purchased Dterm phones between Feb - Nov 06 are beginning to have display problems now? The phones work, but the displays show weird characters, and then eventually die.

I have a few that are doing that. They are backlit phones. Seems if the user touches the screen to adjust it will show weird characters.

NEC NTAC has a bulletin about display problems. NEC is supposed to replace any defective phones regardless of warranty status.

As Scott has indicated NEC is replacing them. The ones we replaced were the standard display.

Scott hope things are well

My MAJOR issue arises because WE have to pay for shipping back to NEC of the broken phones. So far, we've replace over 250+ phones at multiple locations. That have cost us hundred of dollars in shipping PLUS technician time to swap out phones.
NEC should pay for shipping both ways and compensate in someway, co-op dollars or tokens, for the technician time to swap out the phones.

We have been having a problem with 4 button IP Dterms and faulty LCDS but have not noticed any problem with 8~32 button Dterms. Which Dterms are going faulty??

Ours have been the DTH-16D-2 and DTH-32D-2, but only 4. NEC did some kind of

thakswet

250 phones that is major. Who ever your NEC sales rep is I would get on them about it.
