I am having trouble figuring this one out. Whenever you go to voicemail it says your name and enter your passcode like normal. But after you enter your code the system repeats your name then pauses for around 10 seconds. Then you finally get your messages. Is there a way to stop these long pauses?

What model voice mail do you have?
How old is it?
Hard drive or flash?
Did it just start doing this? If so check all mail boxes and make sure you don't have a lot of saved messages.

What does the display show on your phone. That 10 second pause is generally the time the system waits for a user to use the soft keys for voice mail before it times out and prompts with voice.

I agree w/smoom, sounds like the VM is waiting for the user to press a softkey, then timing out to the voice menu.
To disable the softkeys, enable 'hands free play' in the user's voicemail box.

I believe it's an elite mail. I usually use cosessions to get into it and manage. It's hard-drive not flash. And I can't seem to find that option for disabling softkeys or enabling hand free play. Is it in the admin mailbox options? Also this only happens on these few extensions. Not on anyone elses ext...
