Hello Group,

I need some help with programming on an NEC IPK ROM version SP1032 R2.02.

We recently took over a surgery center with this IPK installed and programmed. I was factory trained on the old 2400IMG but that was long ago and have been working on Nortel stuff; in-other-words I know just enough to be really dangerous.

I have Centrex lines installed in place of the original trunks. The Centrex requires a 9 to dial outside the Centrex. I have been trying to use the ARS tables to add the 9 to the dial string after the trunk is grabbed. It's not working and I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

Help of any sort will be greatly appreciated. I have the manuals and have been using the ARS flowchart in the Features and Specs guide without much sucess.

Thank you.
Mark

Have you set the calling station in MB4-40 to LCR class 1 or what ever class you are using??

Also you have to disconnect from SAT after you upload any ARS/LCR changes..

Yes, using the programming manual I
set MB to value
1-14-00 tbl 1 / Dial 09 = Allow
4-40 tel port 48 / 40 : LCR CLS = 01
1-14-01 01:tbl 1 / dial 09 = 9
1-14-02 02: tbl 1 / dial 09 A/D Yes
1-14-03 03: tbl 1 / dial 09 Route 01
1-14-04 04:/ Rte 01 = TKGP
1-14-05 05: Delete Rte 01 = 00
1-14-06 06: Rte 01 = 9

Trying after programming:
Off-Hook = Inside Dial Tone
9 = 2nd Dial Tone
2 = Reorder Tone (Failed)

Trying after programming:
Off-Hook = Inside Dial Tone
9 = 2nd Dial Tone
9 = breaks dial tone
200-2626 = rings my cell phone but requires manual addition of the second 9

Am I even close? This unit doesnot have the extra LCR package.

Thanks for the help>
Mark

Try setting MB4-23 with a nine. When you lift the handset it wil insert a nine. You will need an ICM button to call internally or access internal access codes.

Great idea, I see how that will work for the multi-line sets.

I am trying to make the second 9 transparrent to all users; so a fax can be dialed 9-NPA-XXX instead of as it is now 9-9-NPA-XXXX.

Thank you.

Or you could use "ICM" in MB 1-14-04 to route back to local stations. We have several systems setup like that here as a part of a VPN setup. Not a nice solution though. Better to have dial 9 digit insertion when any PSTN number is dialed..

I usually set up a route advance block for this app. It's pretty easy but you have to use CAP keys for it to work.

Hi Guys,

NEC IPK2 systems. I have heard the software to be 'flaky'.
Would you recommend this system or Nortel?

The software was flaky at first but since 2.0 I've install mutible systems without any problems. Also most of the earlier problems I've out to be installer errors. I was really resistant to which from IPK to IPK II but since have found out it's a Great system
