We have an IPK II KTS Firmware 01.50 with a PRT(24) version 05.01 connected to an Adtran Atlas 550 (ATLAS 550 Rev. C.08.01)that is splitting a PRI. 13 channels on the PRI are sent to the IPK PRT(24). We currently use the default (dial 9) to get an port on the PRI for calling out, and CID is enabled. What we would like to do is setup another trunk group (ie dial 99) to be able to hide outgoing CID. All extensions would need access to both trunk groups (Default, and CID Hide). We have a support group that needs to be able to block the CID outgoing on support calls to prevent people from calling directly back in on the main number. I assume this is possible but not sure where to start.

I have gone thru the config on the adtran and with the outgoing caller id is set to "send as provided" I don't get CID on the number called. With it set to "Substitute if not present" and the ID set I get CID on the number called. Is there some place on the IPK to set the CID for a trunk group? or globally? Then I should be able to Block CID on specific trunk ports correct?

You can set Outgoing Caller ID block on a per station basis via class of service setting in 20-08-15.

Also check what is set in 21-12 and 21-13 as they do interact with each other.

Also the carrier on the other end of the Atlas may or may not allow sending of outgoing CID by station and just send the billing number.

You need to have the carrier change their equipment to CPE for out bound caller ID. There are a handful of programs that have to be run thru for setting up outbound thru the KSU I believe it is 3 actually outbound class of service you have to turn on the feature about party lines and the other 2 evade me but they also involve party line these 2 programs is where you can set the out bound CID for either trunk or extension. Also after this you then can make a MCD key on each phone that access outbound as a extension number that doesn't have anythin programmed in its part line ID.
