Hey All, hoping I can get some tips on troubleshooting. I have an old Electra Elite 48 and I'm have a problem with two of the CO lines. I'm sure its within the system, becuase I've tested these lines without the electra elite in the loop, and I'm only having the problem when I've the 48 hooked up. First one of the lines (in this case line 3) will ring simultaneously with another line, and then will remain open and off hook giving the off hook busy signal from the CO. The second CO line giving me trouble is a different problem- its acting like its just shorted, open no dial tone / signal.

Any advice on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated, thanks,

Christa

Do you have any spare co ports you can move them to for testing? Could be the those line ports are bad.

Is this problem related to 2 adjacent CO's (lines 2 & 3)? If so, check the wiring of the amphenol cable at the 66 block. Ensure that the pairs for trunks 2 and 3 are not transposed where you have the tip of line 2 punched down on line 3. Also, look for any bad terminations of hanging cross connect ends on the 66 block. Usually it's something simple.
