the way I read it I remove the intra mail and insert the flash card with the system hot
is that correct ?
I don't see intra, mail mentioned in the manual as hot swappable
and I hate to do it with out being 100 % sure

The Intramail absolutely is 100% hot swappable.
Remove the Intramail, insert your flash card, hold down the reset button on the CPU until all the lights shut off.
The update takes 8-10 minutes...just wait until the phones come back on (or the lights flash like they were before you initiated the update.)
Remove your flash card, insert your intramail, and reset the system...

Has anyone upgraded yet, wondering if it is working well?
Has anyone used the DSX2 email voice mail yet? They have some real`attractive pricing on that voice mail now.

I Have one piece of advice on upgrading the DSX Either TEST the upgrade on a system at the shop before you go to the customer's site, or install the upgrade on a few different CF cards and bring them all with you just in case. There have been reports (me included) that have some cf cards that just won't work. It will seem to give the processor a lobotomy, but it turns out that the CF card is a "non compatible card" for lack of a better term. I have 3 - 128 MB sandisk cards - 2 work 1 doesn't. They all look the same so I don't know. I also have a simple tech that didn't work. When an upgrade fails the system will seem to be a vegetable but you just have to re-load with a GOOD card. The only way to know it it is good or not is to try it. Once it is established the card is good It will continue to work, so label it with your P-touch and keep it as your upgrade card

thanks for the quick response and confirmation Jordan thanks for the heads up ttech I was going to do it today but I think I will wait until I can be sure its going to be OK I hate to leave a customer in the lurch on sat (especially one 80 miles away ) I did download the new admin software and it has a interesting "quirk " when you connect it downloads 1% of the data then stops I rebooted the PC , rebooted the system , changed USB Ports , changed cables Etc, etc . finally called tech service and thats what its supposed to do once it hits one percent you need to go to the tool bar and hit "retrieve " for the rest of the data to download :bang: in my case it downloaded to 91 % because with ver1.31 there was 9% missing over 2.14 tech service guy said that it wasn't his Idea to do it that way

when you connect it downloads 1% of the data then stops Skip, It was designed this way for online editing. There's no need to download all the data if all you want to do is make a simple change. If you want to save the database, use the download all button.

[/b]ok quirk was a poor choice of words , I knew it was designed that way after taking to tech service I think it might have been handled differently , not having to download everything for minor changes is a improvement but why not a pop up box to let us know whats going on you may close this box and make programing changes now
to download all data click here or something like that Ive recently had the pc admin for the 2000 quit working and had to go back to phone programing on it (same thing stops downloading . tech service wasn't able to help resolve that ) so when the new DSX admin program stopped I naturally assumed more problems
