I have moved a system from one school to another and needed to know if there is some way of redoing the whole vm so it would be fresh for its new start. Eletra elite 192. Because I have a someone box picking up for the whole school after we have changed messages. It is a computerized voice, that says Sandy Simons is not avaivable and keeps repeating and won't let you leave a message.

Sandy Simmons is the built-in system manager box.
Do you have C0-Sessions software on a laptop to access the voice mail's programming?
Can you provide more detail on how you currently have the vm set up?

I do not have co-sessions software to access vm. What details do you need so I can provide the right ones. I am new to the nec vm thing.

Okay,
Co-session is very similiar to Procomm, and if I'm not mistaken, you can use Procomm and it may be easier to come by. Nevertheless, if you want to reset the entire voicemail and I will assume that it is a DOS based VMS/FMS/VMP style voicemail, you need to login into the voicemail via Cosession using a 9pin serial cable. Once you are connected and you can see the Voicemail opening screen, exit back to the command prompt. From there a menu will appear that will let you de-archive the default database. This will in effect remove all previous mailboxes, greetings, and messages and leave you with a default system. Good Luck.

Unfortunately you can't use Procomm as Co-session is both a PC and VMS installed application and is proprietary. You will need Co-session for windows to access the VMS..
