We utilize a bridge service since we have 4 or more locations on staff calls. However, I noticed our volume output is low and too faint.

Is there a way to change or improve the voice output on a NEC NEAX 2000 IPS?

Our setup is as follows for devices:

We our using 3 Dterm IP phones for the remotes (on speakerphone) and a PolyCom VTX 1000 at the host site.

Thanks

It could be the VOIP phones and they type of compression they are using. I know the NEC Aspire has low volume on their VOIP phones.

Are you using the CFTC card in the NEC or an outside bridge?

OWe are using a toll free outside bridge like GoToMeeting and WebEx. WEbEx seems to be better quality, however, it is still faint on the remotes.

The host site is using a PolyCom with an analog line and can hear fine. I might try to use antoher Polycom with a second analog line at a second site. This way only 2 IP phones are on the calls with their speaker phone.

How do you adjust compression? The volume on the IP phones are on max level.

Any other suggestions?

the exact program for the compression escapes me but I believe it is in the 8X-XX area and right now if you didn't change it, it is probably G.729 but I have to warn you their network at the other VOIP sites have to be able to support the heavier traffic for the less compressed standards.
